SC/ST walfare slogan a mere rhetoric? |

The State’s
Scheduled Tribe and Caste population continue to
languish at the bottom of the development index,
even as the Naveen Patnaik-led Government is set
to make SC-ST welfare a major issue in its bid
for a third term at the helm. With tribal
population constituting 22 per cent and
Scheduled Castes 16 per cent, together
accounting for over one-third of the total
population of the State. |
